5 квітня 2024 року відбувся онлайн тренінг «Система підтримки прийняття рішень у процесі реагування на надзвичайні ситуації/пожежі у природних екосистемах: Поширення передового досвіду Лісової служби США та ДСНС України». Захід був організований Всеукраїнською екологічною лігою в рамках проєкту «Створення громадської системи протипожежного захисту лісів в Україні» за підтримки Лісової служби США.
У тренінгу взяли участь експерти Лісової служби США, представники Українського гідрометеорологічного інституту ДСНС та НАН України, Українського гідрометеорологічного центру ДСНС України, Управління гідрометеорології ДСНС України та Головного управління ДСНС України у Київській області.
Під час тренінгу учасники обговорили важливість системи підтримки ухвалення рішень, її основні компоненти, а також розглянули приклади підтримки ухвалення рішень щодо лісових пожеж. Особливу увагу було приділено системі моделювання ризику виникнення пожежної небезпеки, яка допомагає прогнозувати ймовірність виникнення пожеж та вживати відповідних заходів для їх запобігання. Експерти Лісової служби США ознайомили учасників заходу з алгоритмом роботи цієї системи та дізналися про її ефективність у реальних умовах.
Окрім того, було представлено прототип системи підтримки ухвалення рішень для Чорнобильської зони відчуження, що демонструє можливості нових технологій у боротьбі з лісовими пожежами.
Сервіси прогнозування надають керівникам служб з надзвичайних ситуацій інформацію для підтримки рішень, розробки довгострокових та короткострокових стратегічних планів, очікування значної пожежної активності та визначення потреб у розподілі ресурсів, ефективного інформування про надзвичайні ситуації, державних службовців та громадськості.
Захід став важливим кроком на шляху до вдосконалення системи реагування на надзвичайні ситуації та пожежі у природних екосистемах, об’єднавши передовий досвід Лісової служби США та ДСНС України.
Training Decision Support System in the Process of Responding to Emergencies/Fires in Natural Ecosystems: Sharing best practices of the US Forest Service and the SESU of Ukraine”
On April 5, 2024, the online training «Decision Support System in the Process of Responding to Emergencies/Fires in Natural Ecosystems: Dissemination of best practices of the US Forest Service and the SESU of Ukraine». The event was organized by the All-Ukrainian Environmental League within the framework of the project «Creation of a public system of fire protection of forests in Ukraine» with the support of the US Forest Service.
The training was attended by experts from the US Forest Service, representatives of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute of the SESU and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center of the SESU of Ukraine, the Hydrometeorology Department of the SESU of Ukraine, and the Main Directorate of the SESU of Ukraine in Kyiv Oblast.
During the training, the participants discussed the importance of a decision support system, its main components, and reviewed examples of decision support for forest fires. Particular attention was paid to the fire risk modeling system, which helps to predict the likelihood of fires and take appropriate measures to prevent them. Experts from the U.S. Forest Service familiarized the participants with the algorithm of this system and learned about its effectiveness in real conditions.
In addition, a prototype of a decision support system for the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone was presented, demonstrating the potential of new technologies in the fight against forest fires.
Forecasting services provide emergency managers with information to support decisions, develop long-term and short-term strategic plans, anticipate significant fire activity and determine resource allocation needs, and effectively inform emergency responders, government officials, and the public.
The event was an important step towards improving the system of emergency response and fire management in natural ecosystems by combining the best practices of the US Forest Service and the SESU of Ukraine.
